The Pets Canada staff and Board of Directors are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of former board member Paul McGrath. Many in our community knew Paul through his 35 year career in the pet industry as the Western Sales Manager with Burgham Sales Ltd..
At PIJAC Canada, now Pets Canada, we knew Paul as an all-in kind of person and a vocal supporter of the association’s mission. We had the good fortune of working with him as a board member for more than 20 years, including a dedicated tenure as treasurer.
Paul was a roll up his sleeves leader. Whether in the boardroom, during committee work, or even helping to build our trade show booth, he showed up wholeheartedly every single time. He believed deeply in the vital role Canadian pet businesses play in supporting pet families and contributing to the strength of our national economy.
We extend our deepest condolences to the McGrath family and his colleagues at Burgham Sales. Paul will be profoundly missed, and we remain forever grateful for his commitment, his generosity, and the lasting impact he made on the association and the industry.
